The ferryman of the NAHANNI
A movie of DOMINIQUE SNYERS
Synopsis
Four young climbers dream of climbing the Tower of the Lotus Flower (2570m), a great wall of legend lost in the Canadian far north. Since the helicopter is not an option, they will have to
to reach it, face the dangers of the Nahanni River for 550 km for a month of total autonomy.
Having little experience in this kind of adventure, they convince Dom, an adventurer 33 years their senior, to help them set up this expedition. While riding the rapids of the Nahanni Dom rediscovers the initiatory dreams of his adolescence, he also discovers that the Lotus Flower will be his last “Big Wall”.
A poetic and humorous adventure, a passing of the baton between generations where dreams and reality intersect.
