Synopsis

Les Francofolies is a series of pretexts: music, culture, leisure, entertainment; but behind this there is the desire to achieve a series of peripheral meetings in terms of public health, education and training. Many ambassador artists have responded: Philippe Lafontaine, Noa Moon, La Fouine, Soprano and Daan to come and meet Congolese musicians: Pitcho, Bedson de la Rue, Papa Wemba, Lexxus Legal, Jean Goubald... To share with them music but also to learn the Congo, soak up the city of Kinshasa, create positive dynamics where communities meet, talk, exchange, enrich each other. The film takes us on a musical journey to the different stages of the festival, to meet the organizers, technicians, musicians… The film focuses on the exchanges between the artists, the mixing of cultures, all in a festive and dynamic atmosphere! The optimistic Kinshasa, which does good thanks to the enthusiastic and positive public which lives to the rhythm of music and dance. A Kinshasa happy to live and which believes in the future thanks to art and culture. A breath of musical oxygen! A highlight of the Congo.
